Elon Musk, the famed American billionaire, is restless once again. This time, the head of Tesla and SpaceX has sued Apple and OpenAI, accusing them of creating a monopoly in the field of artificial intelligence. The businessman is outraged by the situation!
The billionaire intends to target Apple and OpenAI in a lawsuit, alleging that their leadership is monopolizing the AI market by integrating ChatGPT into iPhones. According to Musk, these actions eliminate competition in the industry.
Musk claims that the current strategy of Apple and OpenAI makes it impossible for other chatbots to gain traction in the App Store. Recall that an exclusive deal with OpenAI enshrined ChatGPT as the only integrated AI bot on the iPhone. Meanwhile, Musk's companies, X and xAI, are demanding billions of dollars, arguing that the deal limits user choice and stifles innovation. The lawsuit also seeks to ban the deal between Apple and OpenAI that the businessman calls "illegal."
However, OpenAI rejects the accusations, calling them "yet another of Muck's attacks." Apple's management has so far refrained from commenting.
Earlier, Musk said that AI could help solve problems of hunger, poverty, and disease. However, there is another side to the coin. Nate Soares, a former engineer at Google and Microsoft, warned that the probability of humanity's extinction is approaching a frightening 95% due to artificial intelligence.
