In July 2025, construction output in the Czech Republic grew by 10.1% compared to the same period last year, a slowdown from the previous month's more than three-year high of 14% growth. This represents the slowest expansion rate since April, largely due to reduced growth in both building construction, which slowed to 9.2% from 10.3% in June, and civil engineering, which decelerated to 11.5% from 20.3%. The estimated value of building permits issued during the month surged by 37.9%, totaling CZK 54.2 billion. In contrast, the number of new dwellings initiated dropped by 9.2% to 2,628, and the completion rate for dwellings declined by 13.4% to 2,353. On a monthly basis, construction output saw a 1% increase.
