Mongolia Inflation Rate Slows in November

Inflation in Mongolia eased to an annual rate of 8.2% in November 2025, down from the previous month's peak of 9.2%, marking an eight-month high. The deceleration was primarily observed in the sectors of housing and utilities, which saw prices soften to 5.9% from 19.3% in October. Similarly, the cost of dining and accommodation decreased modestly to 11.0% from 11.3%, while healthcare costs also saw a slight decline to 5.8% from 5.9%.

Conversely, inflation gained momentum in several areas. Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose to 12.0% from 11.8%, and there were also increases in alcoholic beverages and tobacco which climbed to 5.6% from 5.3%. Apparel, footwear, and textiles saw a rise to 7.7% from 6.7%, while furnishings and household equipment edged up to 7.2% from 7.0%. The transportation sector noted a slight increase to 4.2% from 4.0%, and the recreation and culture domain experienced a growth to 7.1% from 5.5%. Additionally, miscellaneous goods and services rose to 10.2% from 8.9%.

On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices rose by 0.6% in November, following a 0.7% increase during the prior month.
