Albania Inflation Lowest in 8 Months

In November 2025, Albania experienced a decrease in its annual inflation rate, dropping to 2.1%, a level not seen since March, down from 2.3% in the previous month of October. The growth in prices slowed in several categories, including food and non-alcoholic beverages, which increased by 1.5% compared to 1.6% in October, as well as clothing and footwear, rising by 0.6% against the previous 1.8%. The rate of inflation also lessened for housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels, which saw a rise of 4.0% from 4.3%. Other sectors like hotels, coffeehouses, and restaurants (2.3% down from 2.4%), miscellaneous goods and services (1.6% from 1.7%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.9% from 3.1%), furnishings and household maintenance (2.8% from 2.9%), recreation and culture (2.6% from 3.2%), and education services (1.9% from 2.0%) also experienced a deceleration in inflation. Conversely, transport experienced an uptick in price increases with a rise of 0.8% from 0.5%, along with health (0.6% from 0.5%) and communication (1.3% from 1.1%). Overall, on a monthly scale, consumer prices declined by 0.2%, marking the first drop in four months after a minor increase of 0.1% in October.
