Rwanda Inflation Rate Hits 8-Month Low of 4.1%

Rwanda's inflation rate continued its downward trend for the fourth consecutive month, reaching 4.1% in November 2025, the lowest level since February. This marks a decrease from October's rate of 5.1%. Notably, the index for food and non-alcoholic beverages saw a reduction of 1.1%, the first decline in a year, following a 1% increase in October. Vegetable prices, in particular, have decreased significantly, dropping by 10.2% compared to a 7% decline previously. Additionally, the rate of price increases has slightly moderated across various categories, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco (down to 14.4% from 15%), clothing and footwear (5.3% from 5.4%), and housing and utilities (4.5% from 4.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices saw a slight decrease of 0.1% in November, following a 1% rise in the previous month.
