Week Ahead - June 9th

In the upcoming week, alongside the persisting uncertainty related to U.S. tariff discussions, investors will keenly observe the developments in the escalating tension between President Trump and Elon Musk. Economically, it promises to be a relatively subdued week, with significant attention directed towards the impending CPI and PPI reports, as well as the University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment survey. China is expected to unveil data on consumer and producer prices, along with foreign trade statistics. Inflation data are also anticipated from Mexico, Brazil, Russia, and India. In Europe, Germany will release wholesale price data, while the UK will present a series of statistics including labor market details, April GDP growth figures, the goods trade balance, and industrial production data. In the Asia-Pacific region, emphasis will be placed on Australia’s NAB business confidence and Westpac consumer confidence surveys.
