Czech Republic Consumer Morale Hits 3-Month Low

In January 2026, the consumer confidence indicator in the Czech Republic dipped to 108.2, down from a revised 111 in December, reaching its lowest point since October. An increasing number of consumers are predicting a downturn in the economic situation over the coming year. Despite this, there is a slight uptick in the percentage of households expecting their financial circumstances to improve. Concurrently, there has been a modest rise in individuals considering their current financial status to be worse than it was a year ago. Additionally, there is an increase in the number of consumers who do not intend to make significant purchases in the ensuing twelve months.
