In January 2026, producer prices in Croatia fell by 1.2% year-on-year, reversing a 0.1% increase recorded in December. This was the first annual decline in producer prices since April 2025 and was largely driven by sharper price drops in several sectors: mining and quarrying (-16.0% vs -11.8% in December), manufacturing (-0.6% vs 0.3%), and electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-1.5% vs 0.3%). Meanwhile, price growth in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities eased slightly, slowing to 1.1% from 1.2% in the previous month. Excluding energy, producer prices rose 0.8% year-on-year, moderating from a 1.1% increase in December. On a monthly basis, the producer price index (PPI) ticked down 0.1%, after a 0.4% decline in the preceding month.
