This uptick was primarily driven by increased prices in several categories. Food and non-alcoholic beverages saw a rise of 9% compared to 7.6% in April. Additionally, prices in restaurants and hotels increased to 8.3% from 8% in April. The education sector maintained a steady inflation rate of 6.4%, while health costs remained constant at 5.8%. Furnishings and household equipment experienced a slight decrease in inflation, moving to 5.3% from 6.2%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices saw a modest rise of 0.1% in May, following a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
