FX.co ★ Spain Current Account Surplus Narrows Slightly

Spain’s current account surplus narrowed slightly to EUR 1.8 billion in December 2025 from EUR 1.828 billion a year earlier, according to preliminary data. The primary and secondary income account showed a deficit of EUR 127 million, compared with a surplus of EUR 327 million in the same month of the previous year. By contrast, the surplus on goods and services increased to EUR 1.927 billion from EUR 1.501 billion. For full-year 2025, the current account surplus amounted to EUR 48.7 billion, down from EUR 50.7 billion in 2024.
