In June 2025, Macau witnessed a 13.3% year-on-year increase in tourist arrivals, reaching 2.89 million visitors, though this represents a slowdown from the previous month's 25.3% rise. The growth was fueled by a 22.5% jump in same-day visitors and a 3.6% uptick in overnight visitors. The average stay duration remained consistent at 1.2 days, with same-day visits holding steady at 0.2 days, while overnight stays saw a slight increase to 2.4 days, up by 0.1 day compared to the previous year. By origin, tourists from Mainland China saw a significant rise of 20.8% to reach 2.0 million, notably boosted by a 29.5% increase under the Individual Visit Scheme. Meanwhile, arrivals from Taiwan rose by 5.6% to 85,040, and American visitors increased by 14.1% to 15,158. However, there was a 2.2% decrease in visitors from Hong Kong, totaling 613,329. Overall, during the first half of 2025, visitor numbers climbed 14.9% year-on-year to 19.2 million.
