By origin, tourists from Mainland China saw a significant rise of 20.8% to reach 2.0 million, notably boosted by a 29.5% increase under the Individual Visit Scheme. Meanwhile, arrivals from Taiwan rose by 5.6% to 85,040, and American visitors increased by 14.1% to 15,158. However, there was a 2.2% decrease in visitors from Hong Kong, totaling 613,329. Overall, during the first half of 2025, visitor numbers climbed 14.9% year-on-year to 19.2 million.
