European Stocks Inch Higher

European stocks ended slightly higher on Tuesday, recovering some of the ground lost in recent sessions as AI infrastructure and manufacturing shares rebounded. The Euro STOXX 50 edged up 0.2% to 6,462, while the STOXX Europe 600 advanced 0.4% to 657. Chipmakers and data center suppliers clawed back part of the previous session’s declines as investors reassessed the medium‑term outlook for capital expenditure, particularly ahead of planned IPOs from Anthropic and OpenAI. ASML and Infineon each gained about 1%, and Siemens Energy rallied more than 3%. Siemens, Schneider, Safran, and Airbus also moved higher, supported by easing energy prices and lower sovereign bond yields. Natural gas futures retreated from recent highs after the US signaled it would impose sanctions on firms facilitating Iranian trade, shifting away from earlier rhetoric suggesting possible military strikes.
