Finland Producer Prices Fall in September

In September 2025, Finland experienced a 0.3% decrease in producer prices compared to the same period the previous year, overturning a 0.1% increase recorded in August. The costs decreased considerably for water supply, sewage, waste management, and remediation services, dropping to 2.7% from 3.4%. Simultaneously, there was a notable decrease in prices for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, which plummeted by 2.5% following a prior spike of 19.1%. Mining and quarrying also saw a sharper decline, falling by 4.4% compared to a previous dip of 2.7%. Conversely, the rate of deflation in manufactured goods lessened, coming in at -0.1% compared to -1.4%, thanks to price increases in processed and preserved meat and beverages. On a monthly scale, producer prices fell by 0.4% in September, after an increase of 0.8% witnessed in the previous month.
