Cyprus Industrial Output Growth Slows to 4-Month Low

Industrial production in Cyprus rose by 3.5% year-on-year in December 2025, down from a downwardly revised 7.7% increase in November, marking the weakest growth since August. Manufacturing output also lost momentum, expanding by 4.6% compared with 8.7% in the previous month. This slowdown was driven by notable contractions in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (-7.4% vs 77.8% in November) and in electronic, optical, and electrical equipment (-2.3% vs 3.0%).

Growth in water supply and materials recovery likewise moderated (3.2% vs 4.4%), while output in mining and quarrying (-1.7% vs 32.5%) and in electricity supply (-2.4% vs -2.2%) declined. For 2025 as a whole, industrial production was 3.6% higher than in 2024.
