FX.co ★ Taiwan Industrial Output Eases to 3-Month Low

In June 2025, Taiwan's industrial production increased by 18.65% compared to the same month the previous year. This represents a slowdown from the revised 22.1% growth reported in May, marking the slowest pace of expansion since March. Manufacturing output saw a deceleration to 20.03%, down from 23.44% in May. Meanwhile, the contraction in the mining and quarrying sector worsened, shrinking by 11.84% compared to a 1.9% decline previously. The electricity and gas supply sectors also experienced a more pronounced downturn, with production falling by 6.64% after a 1.91% drop. Additionally, water supply production saw a slight decrease of 0.73%, reversing a previous gain of 1.49%. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity decreased by 3.96% in June 2025, after posting a 3.05% increase in the previous month.
