On Tuesday, the Ibovespa index increased by 0.6%, surpassing the 134,000 mark. This rise aligned with global market trends following a recently announced trade agreement between the United States and Japan. Although this international development improved sentiment, Brazilian market growth remained limited due to ongoing uncertainty about how Brazil will respond to the impending 50% US tariff set to commence on August 1st. Investors are exercising caution as President Lula's administration faces challenges in negotiating favorable terms with Washington. Within the domestic market, Petrobras showed minimal change, while major banking firms saw gains, with Bradesco rising by 0.7% and Itaú Unibanco by 0.2%. Conversely, Vale experienced a 0.3% decline, Gerdau increased by 0.8%, and Embraer saw a reduction of 0.3%.
