Frankfurt’s DAX 40 advanced 0.7% on Friday, rebounding after hitting a two‑month low in the previous session, as easing geopolitical tensions supported risk sentiment. Markets took comfort from comments by Trump, who ruled out a US strike on Iran before the November midterm elections and pointed to progress in negotiations to end the conflict. His remarks pushed oil prices lower and prompted a pullback in bond yields.
On the index, Zalando and SAP led the gains, each rising more than 3%. Heidelberg Materials added 2.6%, lifted by an upgrade from RBC. By contrast, telecommunications stocks underperformed: Deutsche Telekom slumped more than 6% after SpaceX’s acquisition of spectrum fueled concerns about intensified competition for T‑Mobile US, in which Deutsche Telekom holds a 54% stake.
